  1. Target. Customize your SBM targeting strategy by specifying a geographic marketplace, and entering your SEM campaign keywords.
  2. Budget. Set your daily spending limit and maximum CPC or CPM bid.
  3. Create. Set up your campaign, by writing the ad that will be featured to prospective customers.
  4. Activate. Review and then activate your ad by entering your billing information. Once you have an activated campaign, you can use your Chitika Advertiser account to activate all future campaigns.

SBM Targeting

  • With more than 400 million search driven impressions a month, Chitka commands more traffic than the fourth largest search engine, ask.com, and is therefore able to cater to SEM advertisers.
  • Chitika’s Search Behavior Marketing targeting platform leverages our search impressions to target ads to users in our content network with reach and precision.
    How do we target?

  • As we introduce SBM to the market, we are relying on a “broad keyword match” strategy. Basically, your SBM targeted ad is displayed if a combination of your keywords are used in a user’s search, and only if we feel there is a relevancy to the user’s search query and your ad.
  • As mentioned above, we do serve more than 400m search driven impressions each month, but currently we do not command the traffic levels of search engine sources like Google (approx. 7 billion search imps monthly)… If we plan on relying on exact keyword matching alone, we might not be able to deliver comprehensive campaign visibility to our advertisers.
    What’s next for SBM?

  • As we continue to grow our content network, we aim to expand our SBM platform and give the exact keyword match option to our advertisers.
