Alden is a seasoned technologist with over nine years of experience in enterprise infrastructure and data mining. As a Senior Research Engineer at Terra Lycos, he designed and implemented several key projects on information retrieval, customer analytics and business intelligence. Alden was particularly instrumental in designing a large-scale data warehouse to support direct marketing and cross/up sell efforts across the 120 Terra Lycos properties.

Prior to Lycos, Alden was a Technical Consultant with Roguewave Inc, helping them create large-scale commercial enterprise software. Alden also served as a Systems Analyst with Tata Consultancy Services where he helped implement large-scale enterprise banking software for the Union Bank of Switzerland.

Alden has an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from the Visvesvaraya Regional College of Engineering, Nagpur, India. Alden has three patents pending in Internet-related technologies. The first patent is related to breakthroughs in Advertising/Direct Marketing on Internet networks and the other two are related to Information Retrieval.
